Motion 5: Create an FCP X Generator [Video]

This illustrates how to create an effect inside Motion 5 that can be used inside Final Cut Pro X. In the specific example, we create a generator containing a gradient background for use behind a lower-third title key.

The key thing to keep in mind is to select how you want this saved to Final Cut Pro X when you create the initial Motion project. This is the first thing Larry illustrates when the demo starts, but it goes by quickly so keep your eyes open.
