Motion is not limited to working just with Final Cut Pro. In fact, we can use Motion to create effects for Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Final Cut Pro 7, or any other editing software.
In this short video tutorial, Larry Jordan, shows how to export a Motion project to retain all its effects and transparency, then how to import that movie into Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

3 Responses to Motion: Export For Premiere Pro CC [Video]
Hi! Just a quick question! I do all the above, and then I import the clips created in Motion 5 with the alpha background in Adobe premiere to use them. Then, I use the different clips as titles in the video, and I see the transparent background and all seems perfect. The problem is when exporting the final composition that includes the main video and the imported clips from motion with the alpha channels. All the clips appear with a black background, intead of the transparent background that I see during the edition. What codec/format should I export the final clip to avoid the black backgrounds of the motion 5 clips? Thanks in advance!!!
Javier:
To export video from Premiere and retain the alpha (transparency) channel, you’ll need to use ProRes 4444 and make sure the alpha channel is turned on during export.
