[ Updated Aug. 2018, with keyboard shortcuts for FCP X 10.4. ]
I love keyboard shortcuts. The more, the better.
When I released my Final Cut Pro X training, I compiled a list of my favorite keyboard shortcuts; about 200 of them, in fact.
I grouped them by category, selected the ones that made our editing life easier, formatted them for printing and saved them as a PDF.
This was very well received and I got a lot of requests to do the same thing for Premiere. However, it wasn’t until recently that I finally got around to it. And, with this list, I included shortcuts which are really useful, but aren’t assigned to any special key yet.
Feel free to download these PDF files and share them with your friends. Each contains about 200 shortcuts, grouped by function.

Hi larry
I tried downloading this Keyboard shortcut pdf for FCPX but it comes up with gobbledygook. The Adobe one is OK.
I am looking for a shortcut to Rename clip (in the timeline) which I use a lot.
I believe it doesn’t exist.
Thank you
Peter:
Sigh… you are right, I had a bad link in my article. It is now fixed and the file downloads properly. My apologies.
As for a keyboard shortcut to rename a clip in the Timeline, I’ve not found it, if it exists.
