Final Cut Pro v. 10.6.10 Fixes Major Bugs
Last week, Apple released a bug-fix version of Final Cut (version 10.6.10). This corrected two significant bugs:
- Fixes an issue that could cause an FxPlug-based title that analyzed a clip to result in an incomplete analysis.
- Fixes an issue that could cause a Motion template with an applied Align To behavior to display an incorrect animation.
The 10.6.9 update to Final Cut provided two new features:
- Log support for iPhone, which takes advantage of the dynamic range of log-encoded video shot on iPhone 15 Pro.
- New third-party log support to enhance the look of footage shot on popular cameras from Fujifilm, DJI, and ARRI.
Here’s a link to learn more about these new Log features.
I spoke with tech support at FXFactory, who first told me about this bug. When I asked if the new version worked properly, they said: “Yes, version 10.6.10 works on both Intel and M1/M2 systems, and it fixes another problem we weren’t even aware of.”
Personally, I’ve already upgraded to version 10.6.10.
