Chroma-key, or green-screen key, is one of the outstanding new features in Final Cut Pro X. In this short seven-minute video, I show you how to create a chroma-key in FCP X, using three different examples that range from great lighting to abysmal. Along the way, I’ll show you where to look and what to adjust to clean up a key, a simple way to get rid of garbage in the frame, and how to reposition an image so it works better with the background. Finally, you’ll learn how to display and adjust the matte to remove any holes in your foreground image.
