Today, Apple released a minor update to Final Cut Pro (v 10.6.4), Compressor (v 4.6.2), Motion (v 5.6.2) and iMovie. In all cases, Apple said these “[fix] an issue where video frames may be out of order during playback or export.”
Based on a comment in AppleInsider.com, this most often presents when working with ProRes media.
The update is free and available through the Mac App Store.

Can you update this in mid project?
Greg:
All updates carry some level of risk. However, this seems fairly low risk, so I would say an upgrade is safe.

Thank you Larry for the update info. I always wait to see how you feel about an update.
Richard:
This update seems so trivial that it must have been a major bug for Apple to release this simple bug fix. My sense is that it is OK to upgrade at your convenience.
