Hi Larry
My name is Bernard I am new to Apple Motion .
For my retirement I have purchased a new iMac 27 along with Affinity Design , Affinity
Photo and Motion .
Following a YouTube video I have produced the Metal Knob , it’s not easy to describe
the animation of the donut shape but my question is can I pickup this animation in
Motion and do you have a video for this . my next purchase will be FCP and your membership .
Bernard:
It depends upon what you mean by “pick up.”
Can you pick up video created in another app, using a hand you created in Motion, then rotate it to see all the different sides of this shape? No. Motion only displays video in 2D.
Can you import the video into Motion? Yes
Can you resize and reposition the video in Motion? Yes.
As long as you don’t need Motion to treat it as a 3D shape with volume and edges, you can move it around as you see fit.
