Adobe Media Encoder: Watch Folders [Video]

Posted on by Larry

Adobe Media Encoder transcodes and compresses video for all the applications in Adobe Production Premium.

This short, five-minute, video tutorial illustrates how to create and modify Watch Folders to automate compression tasks. Watch Folders allow you to drop files in the folder, then automatically compress them and deliver the compressed files to either a local folder or remote FTP site.

    Hi Larry,
Great little tutorial. I love AME, and particularly Watch Folders, but I have one small question (gripe?): AME moves my source video into a folder called “source,” which is fine, but it separates videos it puts in there into dated folders. I like to keep an archive of my full-res videos, which is made difficult by this nested folder setup. Any idea if I can customize that?
    Thanks!
