The interviews look and sound fantastic Larry (and crew). What camera, lens and mic did you use?
Ah….found it!

JR2:
Yup. I figured lots of folks would want the inside scoop – so I wrote this article. I continue to be impressed with the image quality of this Sony camera, but not its errant auto-focus.

Thanks Larry and team for this whirlwind overview of what many different industry perspectives think is trending. Very informative and stimulating.
I saw your article bemoaning the handling noise on the Sennheiser MD46, but I gotta say — the noise and off-axis rejection on that were terrific. The interviews are clear in an environment I’m sure sounded like bedlam.
Thanks for some excellent run n gun!
Scott:
I totally agree – the audio quality of that Sennheiser mic was amazing. To say the trade show floor was noisy… well, um, it was.
But the handling noise just drove me nuts.

…… also, audio wise, is not a studio environment, so you get away with a lot more in an ENG environment and it sounded good to me.
Clayton:
Also true. There is wiggle-room in audio for live events.
