Interesting Larry. For those of us without an Adobe subscription, there is a great piece of freeware out there (but contributions accepted) worth checking called Shutter Encoder, which does pretty much the same thing, LUFS, True Peaks, etc. It also does a great job of re-wrapping eg mov to mp4 instantly, as well as loads of other useful transcoding options.

Shutter Encoder is built on ffMPEG, a free compression engine with widespread support. Two other ffMPEG utilities are ffWorks and Handbrake.
