This online training introduces Motion 5 – which is Apple’s latest software for creating motion graphics and visual effects – and illustrates how to create effects with Motion that you can integrate into Final Cut Pro X.
In this training, host Larry Jordan shows you the Motion 5 interface, then creates a variety of different effects that automatically integrate with the Browsers inside Final Cut Pro X.
In this tutorial, you will learn:
- How to create a new Motion project
- How to create an FCP X generator
- How to create an FCP X transition
- How to create masks
- How to create FCP X effects
- How to create and modify drop shadows
Additionally, you’ll also learn how to use the Motion library, shape tools, masks (including shape, Bezier, and B-spline), behaviors, filters, and a whole lot of keyboard shortcuts.
AUDIENCE LEVEL
This session is designed for editors who need to create effects for Final Cut Pro X, or simply want to learn how to use Motion to create more sophisticated motion graphics than can be created in FCP X alone. You do not need to own Motion to learn from this tutorial.
