COURSE DESCRIPTION

Have you been waffling, trying to decide which editing system to move to? Been intimidated by the new look of Final Cut Pro X, but heard good things about it? Or, perhaps you want to figure out if all the bad things you’ve heard are true or just people being mean?

Either way, this webinar is for you.

This introductory session is designed for people who’ve never used Final Cut, but want to learn more. Join Larry Jordan as he introduces Final Cut Pro X. Larry’s goal is to explain what you need to know to get started successfully and how it differs from other editing systems.

While this session features the newest version of Final Cut – 10.3 – this webinar is focused more on covering operations than new features. During this session, you’ll learn:

  • Key differences between FCP X and FCP 7 and Premiere CC
  • How to manage and where to store media
  • How the interface works
  • How to do a simple edit
  • Understanding the magnetic timeline and storylines
  • How to add a title
  • How to export a project to YouTube

This isn’t designed to showcase all the features in the software. Rather, its designed to give you a better understanding of how the program works so you can get started successfully.

AUDIENCE LEVEL

This introductory session is designed for people that have little to no knowledge of Final Cut Pro X. This session is delivered as a QuickTime movie, no other software is required to watch this session.
