DESCRIPTION

In Webinar 178, we covered the basics of audio. Webinar 179 looked at advanced audio techniques. This week, we take projects from Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Apple Final Cut Pro X and move them into Adobe Audition – a high-power, audio-editing application – to maximize the quality of our audio. Audition is ideal for precision audio editing, repair and final mix.

In this session, Larry Jordan covers:

  • The Audition interface
  • Edit and organize Timeline clips
  • Add fades and changing fade shapes
  • Synchronize ADR with on-set dialog
  • Repair problem audio – hum, clicks, distortion and more
  • Use the Track Mixer
  • Create submixes for filters and stems
  • Test the final mix for frequency and amplitude issues

Audition is worth learning for any editor that needs their audio to compete with the best.
