Final Cut Pro X provides a wide-variety of techniques to change the speed of a clip; from simple freeze frames to some really interesting variable speed effects. In fact, there are seven different categories related to changing clip speed:

• Freeze frames
• Hold frames
• Replace and Retime to Fit
• Conform speed
• Constant speed changes
• Variable speed changes
• Special speed effects

In this video training, join host, Larry Jordan, as he shows you dozens of ways to change the speed of a clip, starting with a very simple freeze frame in the Timeline, then moving into the far more flexible options of a Hold frame. After that, Larry really gets rolling illustrating all the different speed effects in Final Cut Pro X.

Whether you need to stop the action, create a dramatic moment, or add some comic relief, the speed options in Final Cut give you all the tools you need. And this webinar shows you how to put them to work.
