There’s so much new hardware, software and news at this year’s NAB Show, it’s hard for one person to keep track of it all. So, I curated a list of companies, announcements and booths at the show that are  relevant for the independent media creator. I update this multiple times each day before and during the 2026 NAB Show. (The show is over, this list is now final.)

AJA Video Systems – Booth: N-1927

(04/09/2026) Atomos today announced a new 11.07.00 firmware release for its Shinobi II and Shinobi 7 RX monitors, bringing camera control including touch to focus to an even wider range of popular camera models. (04/15/2026) Audio-Technica introduces two new MS (mid-side) stereo broadcast microphones: the BP350ST-UB and BP350ST-UL. The BP350ST-UB’s mic element can be configured using either of the two included mounting solutions – a low-profile boundary housing and a 5″ gooseneck with clip-on mount – to enable inconspicuous capture of true stereo sound. The BP350ST-UL – a compact stereo shotgun mic with its cardioid element mounted on a 16 cm (6.3″) interference tube that rejects off-axis noise to focus on distant sounds.

(04/16/2026) Blackmagic Design today announced Blackmagic Camera for iOS 3.3, which is a new update for the software based digital film camera for iPhones. This new update adds support for camera control and monitoring using an Apple Watch, so customers can start and stop recording, and monitor the shot from their wrist. Also in this update is a new feature that adds support for ATEM camera control so the iPhone can be used as a live studio camera.

(04/13/2026) Blackmagic Design today announced DaVinci Resolve 21, a significant update introducing the new Photo page, which enables colorists and photographers to use Hollywood’s most advanced color tools for still photos. Other updates include new AI tools such as IntelliSearch for fast content searching, CineFocus for focal point adjustment, tools for facial refinement, and more. The Krokodove toolset adds over 70 new graphics to Fusion, Fairlight folders simplify audio track management, plus there are improvements to keyframing, MultiMaster trim passes, layer list node graphs and more.
