[This is an excerpt from a recent on-line video training: 3rd-Party Plug-ins for Final Cut Pro X, which you can download from our store. You can also access all our Apple training when you become a Video Training Library subscriber.]

Plug-ins add exciting new capabilities to any editing software, and the 3rd-party developer community for Final Cut Pro X is especially dynamic!

SliceX and TrackX, from Coremelt, are very, very close to magic. They allows you track regions within the frame without setting tracking points. This allows you to change the color of something in the frame, move text in relationship to something moving in the frame, blur the face of someone walking, even make elements within the frame disappear.

In this short video, watch as Larry Jordan illustrates how to use this amazing software to blur a face, animate text, and make an object disappear.
